Bay of Kotor

The tour begins at the city park near Kotor’s port, just 200 meters from the Old Town’s main gate and only a short, flat walk from the cruise ship security gate. Your friendly skipper will be waiting to welcome you aboard a comfortable speedboat, offering shaded seating and a small-group setting for a relaxed and scenic 2-hour journey through the UNESCO-listed Bay of Kotor. Leave the crowded bus tours behind and enjoy the fresh sea breeze as you glide across the calm waters.

Your first stop is the famous islet of Our Lady of the Rocks, a man-made island steeped in local legend. According to tradition, seamen discovered an icon of the Holy Mother of God with Christ on a rock in the bay. In gratitude, local fishermen placed stones at the site after each voyage, gradually creating the island and building a church in Her honor. During your approximately 30-minute visit, take in the stunning mountain backdrop, capture incredible photos, and explore the Baroque church, home to a marble altar and notable works by local artists.

Next, cruise to the picturesque town of Perast, where you will have approximately 30 minutes to admire its elegant palaces, Catholic churches, and defensive towers. This UNESCO World Heritage site, with its Baroque architecture and dramatic waterfront setting, offers some of the best photo opportunities in the bay and a glimpse into Montenegro’s rich maritime history.

After soaking in the scenery, enjoy a smooth and relaxing ride back to the Kotor cruise port, leaving you with plenty of time to explore Kotor’s charming Old Town before or after your tour.

Please Note: The entrance to the church on the island of Our Lady of the Rocks is not included and is approximately 3 EUR per person, payable in cash on the day of the tour.
